My research is focused on understanding how changes in climate, glaciation, and land use impact the morphology of landscapes. My work connects landscapes of the icy past during the Last Glacial Maximum (approx. 20,000 years ago) to more modern changes caused by anthropogenic activity. I address my research questions using a number of approaches, including remote sensing, laboratory experimentation, optically stimulated luminescence and cosmogenic nuclide dating, and reconstructing environmental histories preserved in sedimentary archives. I study a range of systems including Arctic alluvial fan morphology, glacial kettle formation, post-glacial landscape evolution, and how climate and humans dictate the processes of Earth's surface.
